SIDS Families T-Shirt Program
This section of the site is dedicated to the annual collage t-shirts which I have put together for SIDS Families since 2001. If you're not familiar with this project please read through the FAQ before submitting your baby's photo. This is a huge project each year and family participation is greatly appreciated.
The 2008 Collage is in Progress!
I am currently putting together the 2008 collage. Please be sure to join the T-Shirts mailing list to participate in voting on the slogan and design and to be certain you don't miss the listing of names for this year's collage as well.
Currently accepting photos for the Second 2008 collage
I will accept pictures for the next edition of the SIDS Families SIDS Awareness T-Shirt until there are enough pictures to complete a collage. To date this has been between 167 and 205 photos. If you want to participate, please don't delay because when I have enough photos, I take the form off the site and it's quite a while before it's available again.
If you have your picture ready now, you can email it to me as a file attachment (not in the body of the email please) to: tshirts@sidsfamilies.com and then complete the form here, or alternately you can upload your photo directly to the site using the upload utility you can find here. If you want to participate but don't have a digital photo or scanned photo, and can't find a friend or relative to scan your photo for you, you could try a copy center such as Kinko's as they often have scanning services available.
If you would like to submit a photo of your SIDS baby for the upcoming edition of the collage, just follow the directions for submitting a picture. If you're new to this project, aside from sending in a picture and completing the form, the two other things you should do are:
- Read through the FAQ page on the t-shirts.
- Join the T-Shirt mailing list.
I created the FAQ so that I wouldn't be spending as much time responding to emails asking the same things over and over. PLEASE read it BEFORE you email me with a question. The answer to just about every email I respond to could have been found on the FAQ if the person had only looked there. This is a massive project I do each year with hundreds of interested individuals, you can imagine how time consuming just the email aspect can become without the help of the mailing list and FAQ. It often takes me hours just to get through the emails before I can even begin to work on the graphic designs. Please help me by reading the FAQ and joining the mailing list to stay up-to-date. Thanks in advance for being considerate of my limited time, I really appreciate it!
Slogan Suggestions
Each year as a group, those on the t-shirt mailing list are given the chance to vote on which slogan they like best. Some of the slogans we vote on are ones that we voted on in previous years that hadn't won, and some have been newly submitted by family members. If you have a slogan to suggest for the next edition, please submit it to tshirts@sidsfamilies.com. Suggested slogans make this project all the more special. Please don't submit previously used slogans.

If you visit the store you'll see the currently available products and the prices. It isn't just t-shirts, CafePress has many items available including other articles of clothing, pillows, mugs, mousepads, framed prints, postcards and so on. I also have a family section in my shop which includes custom designs that I have done at the request of other families. I haven't done any of those since I started doing the personalized t-shirts, but if you would like something like this please feel free to email me at tshirts@sidsfamilies.com. Do not contact me regarding orders, shipping, sizes, delivery etc. as this is all handled by CafePress and I won't be able to help you at all. I create the graphic designs and prepare the items to be ordered, and CafePress handles it from there. They make the products as they are ordered in whatever sizes you've opted for during the shopping cart/checkout process.

Available Editions
2001 - 2007
The designs from 2001 - 2007 are available for purchase in the CafePress shop, as well as a special "5 year" shirt I had done.
921 Perfect Reasons - 5 Year Shirt
In recognition of the 5th year for the t-shirts I have did a combined collage of all 5 years along with the phrase, "921 Perfect reasons we need to solve the mystery of SIDS". "Perfect" is underlined because all our angels are just that - perfect. Below the "921 perfect reasons" phrase is the combined collage from all 5 years - totalling 921 little faces. The pictures are of course quite a bit smaller than the usual collage, but I find that seeing that many little faces all together, combined with the knowledge that they're all gone, is really quite moving. I hope it will raise people's awareness of SIDS.
T-Shirt Mailing List
If you want to be kept updated on the progress of this project, you'll have to sign up for the t-shirt mailing list. I don't send out personal updates, please don't ask. It's far too time consuming with so many people involved with almost 700 people currently subscribed to the T-Shirt mailing list. Everyone is updated at the same time through the mailing list with one email. There are some bonuses to being a part of the mailing list as well, such as the ability to vote on the slogans and designs each year, as well as receiving coupon codes for CafePress which save a bit of money when placing an order there if used by the expiry date. The mailing list is completely self-serve, you can join, modify your subscriptions or unsubscribe without my assistance.
